Each year at the annual conference the VPPA has the privilege of recognizing outstanding line and  support staff with awards for excellence.  The Awards Presentation Ceremony is a valuable opportunity to honor these exceptional individuals and their inspirational achievement.

2018 VPPA SUPPORT PERSON OF THE YEAR – Kathie Smith, Fairfax P&P

Presented to a paid person that has shown dedication, commitment and excellence in his/her performance of their job, as well as in the community in support of P&P staff and those we serve.

2018 SURVEILLANCE OFFICER OF THE YEAR – Leo Ochoa, Arlington P&P

Presented to a person who has demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and excellence in their job and in their community.

2018 VPPA PROBATION AND PAROLE OFFICER OF THE YEAR – Heather Wimmer, Tazewell P&P

Presented to a line officer whose efforts as Probation and Parole Officer and/or Senior Probation and Parole Officer have demonstrated professionalism, dedication and excellence in their job and in their community.
