Charles Burkett
“Burke” Mottesheard passed away on June 12, 2004, at the age of
46. His death was an immense loss for his family, friends, and
Community Corrections. The pride, respect, courage, commitment,
and integrity that he displayed in his life have been memorialized
in a scholarship fund that is awarded to students pursuing a
degree in Criminal Justice at the
New River Community College.
